Deal making activity in Q2 shows investor sentiment is increasingly positive

Canadian mid-market, mergers, and acquisitions (M&A) activity decreased slightly in Q2 2021 relative to Q1 2021 activity, based on aggregate deal value and number of transactions completed. Continued equity markets strength and low interest rates have supported M&A deal making. Increased activity over the past two quarters suggests that investor sentiment is increasingly positive.
